Dear CLV Member Schools,
On behalf of the CLV Interim Committee, I extend our sincere thanks to all member schools for your strong participation in the Special General Meeting held on Thursday, 29 May 2025. Your engagement and continued support are deeply appreciated and reflect the collective strength and dedication of our community language education sector.
Following the appointment of the Interim Committee at the SGM, the Committee held its first meeting on Friday, 30 May 2025, where office bearer roles were formally determined in accordance with the CLV Constitution. We are pleased to confirm the following appointments:

Mr Al-Amin Idris – Treasurer
The Interim Committee has been appointed to serve until the next Annual General Meeting (AGM), where a new Committee will be elected by members in accordance with the Constitution.
Please note that the AGM originally scheduled for 5 June 2025, has been postponed as the 2024 Financial Report is not yet finalised. The auditor has advised that they are still awaiting key documentation required to complete the audited financial report.
At this stage, our priority is to ensure a smooth transition, support the completion of the Department-initiated audit, and meet all reporting and compliance obligations with full transparency. The Interim Committee is working closely with the Secretariat and our accountant to finalise the financial report as quickly as possible.
Once the report is complete, the Secretary, Mr Andrew Moore, will issue a notice for the rescheduled AGM, with the required 14 days’ notice in accordance with the CLV Constitution.
