Dear School Leaders and Community Members,

We are seeking student volunteers (Years 9–12) to assist at our upcoming professional learning event:

Empower & Engage: Strategies That Stick
A Practical Community Language Teachers Summit

📅 Saturday, 18 April 2026
🕥 10:00am – 2:00pm
📍 Monash University, Clayton Campus

The Summit will bring together community language teachers from across Victoria, and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support the day.

Volunteer roles may include:

• Assisting with registration and welcoming participants
• Helping guide attendees to concurrent workshop rooms
• Supporting event logistics during morning tea
• Assisting the CLV team throughout the event

This is a great opportunity for secondary students (Years 9–12) to gain community service experience, contribute to the community language sector, and be part of a large professional event.

Students located around the Clayton area are particularly encouraged to volunteer, however anyone willing to assist on the day is welcome.

If students are interested in volunteering, please ask them to contact us at:

📧 info@communitylanguages.org.au

with "Volunteer" in the subject line or simply hit reply to this email.

Students and teachers can also view event details here:

A certificate of volunteering will be provided to participating students.
