MEDIA RELEASE

Dear Principals and School Leaders,

We are delighted to share with you the official media release from our 2025 Community Language Schools State Conference, held on Sunday, 5 October 2025 at RMIT Storey Hall.

This year’s theme, "The Future of Community Languages: Purpose, Pedagogy & People," brought together over 220 teachers and principals representing more than 30 language groups from across Victoria. The conference was a celebration of multilingual education, professional collaboration, and community spirit.

The media release captures key highlights from the day, including:

  • The Welcome to Country by Professor Mark Rose, setting a reflective tone for the event.
  • The keynote address by Dr Oksana King on empowering communities through language learning.
  • Workshops and performances that showcased the strength, creativity, and innovation of our sector.
  • The introduction of the new CLV Committee, representing the next chapter of leadership and collaboration.

More photos and conference assets will be shared over the coming week so stay tuned for a closer look at the moments that made the day so special.

We encourage you to share this release with your school community and local media channels to help promote the important work of community language schools across Victoria.
